Palestine-Israel The joint struggle expand while the political scene is very tense

The joint struggle continue this week with wounds of Anata pogrom by of duty settler colonialists of the state forces living in Anatot still hurting. The state force officers on duty but did nothing to prevent it...banned the Friday demonstration at the site. The tension around the return of the war prisoner Gilad Shavit and release of 1000 Palestinians in return were subject most talked. In regular Friday demos and in special ones near Ofer concentration camp solidarity with prisoners was prominent. The season of olive picking started few days ago increased involvement of Israeli activists in the protection farmers from harassment by settler colonialists. The usual locations of Arakib Beit Umar, Bil'in, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, Sheikh Jarrah, were joined by Jayus. The activity of the High Follow up Committee of the popular grass root comities collect momentum and involve coordinating of multi location demonstrations.

Anata

This Friday, October 14th, 2:00 PM – We will demonstrate again in the entrance of Anatot.

Anatot’s settlers trying now to portray themselves as a peaceful community, a ‘quality of life’ settlement. Only that their settlement and the lands they expropriated are surrounded by a fence which its route was illegally obtained . Real estate interests are mixed with the aspiration to execute a peaceful transfer to the local inhabitants. Trying to create a new reality from which there will be no option to turn back.

Over the years Anatot became a fortress terrorizing its surrounding. The people of Anatot fear nothing more then the story of how they plunder the lands, upon which they built their ‘quality of life’ settlement, will come to light. This is the reason why the mere act of a Palestinian farmer trying to work his land, alongside a group of activists who documented the event, were perceived by the settlers as a real threat, that might put the reality they were trying to built under danger of collapsing.

However, it is not only the case of Anatot. The story of Anatot is to a great extent the story of the State of Israel. The demo was banned using closed military zone trick.

The inspection of settler-violence project continue with involvement of activists of the anarchists against the wall initiative.

Hi all. As you know, Palestinian prisoners associated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) began a hunger strike on September 27 against the worsening of conditions imposed on prisoners by the Israeli government. Since then, prisoners from Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) have also joined the strike.

The popular struggle coordination committee and others are organizing a vigil in solidarity with the hunger strikers tomorrow (11-10) at 12:00 P.M in front of Ofer military prison (the Palestinian side). Along the week protests were also at Beit Ola, Sosya in Yatta.

On 11 October there was a solidarity demo at Ofer concentration camp (Bitunia side) and in Haifa too..

Palestine-Israel, After the September big noise the joint struggle continue

The pick of the struggle was the escalation in settler colonialists terror in Anata, where a mob of local settlers - including personal of state forces who live there, attacked Jewish radical activists who accompanied Palestinians who tried to access their land. The state forces - police and gendarmes present stayed presumably "neutral" but threatened the activists and even arrested three. As a measure against settlers escalating terror, the joint monitoring project of the popular grass root committees is collecting momentum. The "regular" locations of joint struggle - both within the 1948 borders, mainly the Bedouins of the south, and Jaffa; the weekly joint demonstrations the anarchists against the wall are involved: Beit Omar, Bil'in, Nabi Saleh, Ni'lin, and Ma'asarah; and Sheikh Jarrah too. Other sporadic locations like A-Tawna were active too.

How I was beaten up, stripped necked, tortured and threatened to be burned alive by the Anatot settlers.

A balding stocky man with light-colored hair, wearing glasses, banging my head against a white transit van. One of the activists was next to me as we were surrounded by settler-police who’ve been shoving me back and forth in opposite directions. I fought back. I knocked off the glasses of the man who thrust my head and crushed them in my right hand. He bit my hand hard, trying to release the glasses from it.

At this time, a brown-skinned man on my left began to twist my left arm in ways I had seen Border Police do in previous protests I’d attended. He didn’t stop even when I screamed in pain. It was only a heavy blow – when my face was pushed down shattering one of his front teeth – that released my left hand from his painful grip.

Then I was knocked to the ground as a vehicle behind me moved, threatening to run me over. The activist tried to help by raising me up. The white van left and I got back on my feet and stood facing a tall brown-skinned man who never stopped yelling his insults at me. He told me: “Go fuck Arabs…”

At this point, the group of settlers began to shake and shove me in different directions as they tore the clothing from my upper body. They ripped off my bra, vest and shirt. The upper half of my body was stark naked. Other activists tried to cover and calm me. I remember especially that in all the efforts to get me out of there, the tall, balding brown-skinned man came close and said: “A Jewish prick isn’t good enough for you? You want an Arab prick, hah?”

I remember another man wearing a dark civilian shirt and a cap on which was the word “Police” tried to move me. I asked him for his police ID and instead he pushed me out of the way. Another activist brought me to her car and promised to drive me home when the protest was over. I got into the car and locked the doors. From that moment I tried to tweet everything that happened as long as my cell battery held out. I wrote what happened on the ground, the blows, the disrobing and the dire situation the protesters faced that night. I took a picture from the car and uploaded it to Twitter. I tried to hide, not to arouse interest. I saw how the protesters were driven backward by the settlers.

Only a few minutes passed from when I entered the vehicle when a settler noticed me. He drew the attention of his other settler friends and they began rocking the car. I tightened my seat belt and waited quietly for help. In my hand, I grasped a narrow synthetic strap from my purse. It was the only thing I could find nearby to use to defend myself and I was ready to use it to strangle the first person who approached me. Before that, I’d tweeted that I'm looking for means of protection in case they break in. I covered my breasts with the little fabric that remained from my torn clothes.

The crowd around me grew, but I tried to maintain my composure. At that moment, a soldier came by and I begged him to help me. He gave me a look of utter boredom. But after more begging he asked the group to move back a bit so I could leave the car. He suggested that I get into the army jeep, but I wouldn’t agree despite the pressure that the soldiers exerted on me. I was frightened that the settlers standing around me would resume their violence. Because no one offered protection I began to scream at the soldiers to block me [from the settlers]. They did this indifferently. They did check that I hadn’t left anything behind as I’d asked. Despite this, I lost my purse which contained all my IDs including the one categorizing me as “Jewish,” despite the fact that I am not.

The door of the military vehicle in which I was sitting was opened by an older soldier, clearly a member of some minority. He screamed at me and threatened to arrest me. Apparently because I gave the settlers the finger while sitting in his vehicle. I told him to arrest me already, because I was shamed by being in the midst of soldiers of apartheid. He turned away, slamming the door of the vehicle. Eventually, the soldiers returned me to my fellow activists.

I still have the tattered remnants of my clothes from that night.

Friday 7-10-11:

It was the smallest Friday demonstration ever in Bil'in. Only 9 came from Tel Aviv, and a bit more international activist came... mainly an hour too late. Bil'iners too were less even for the last demos as the olive picking started today. Most of us marched all along the double distance to the new location - the Abu-Lamun groove adjacent to the new separation wall. Few others came by cars - as it is more and more common lately, after the removal of the old separation fence doubled the distance of the march.

When we arrived there people approached the separation wall - a bit to the south of the park and checked the strength of the barbed wire structure located in front of the wall.

It took the soldier some time till they discovered it and started to shower us with tear gas. After consuming the proper weekly dose of it we returned to the village.

Report from the demo in a-Tswana: at Friday 7/10 around 30 people from southern mount hebron area, yatta and Tswana, people from beit ummar, and israeli activists (5), protested in response to the new grip settlement called Amnir on the lands of a-Tswana, and in response to new destruction of wells by the civil administration (Minhal).

We were able to march until the olive trees, as the Israeli army prevented the demo from getting to the main road near the settlements there. the protest ended without special cases.

Popular Committees to Launch a Documenting and Intervention Campaign Against Settler Attacks

The popular committees will inaugurate the Eyes of Resistance project to allow for quick intervention in cases of settler attacks on Palestinians.

In light of the recent augmentation in settler attacks on Palestinian body and property, the popular committees will initiate a volunteer-based campaign, in which several cars will patrol the West Bank to quickly respond to cases of settler attacks.

On-the-ground teams, composed of Palestinian, Israeli and international activists, will be directed from an operations-room in Ramallah, to which toll-free calls will be routed. The teams will document settler-attacks, but will also intervene to prevent and stop them when possible.

On Monday, four teams will set out on their first drive, from the contested Ein al-Qaws spring, near the village of Nabi Saleh. The location was chosen because of the continuous attempt by settlers from the adjacent settlement of Halamish to take over the spring and oust Nabi Saleh's residents from their lands.

Mohammed Khatib of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee said, "If anyone needed further proof that Palestinians cannot count on Israeli authorities to prevent settler violence, recent events show beyond doubt why we need to organize to defend ourselves. This is exactly what these volunteers will do in a civic and peaceful manner".

On Thursday, 29th September, 2011, Palestinian farmers from the village Shweiki, in the South Hebron Hills, discovered that settlers had uprooted 50 of their olive trees on their land.

The farmers called the army and police. An army tracker traced the vandals' footprints, leading to an outpost called Mitzpe Eshtamoa. On a rock was written: "Halhul price tag."

On Friday, 30th September, 2011, in the afternoon, several settlers and a dog entered the Palestinian village Yasuf (near the settlement Tapuah). The dog tried to attack people in the village. Villagers threw stones at the dog and the invaders, and managed to get them out. IDF soldiers then arrived and threw teargas grenades in the village and fired volleys into the air.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle is threatened by settler colonialist assaults on the Israeli partners

The desperation of the settler colonialists resulting from the approaching of the moment of truth and the shattering of their dream of the enlarged Israel, cause mounting of brutal assaults. Latest escalation was in the brutal assault on the Israeli non violent activists in the village Anata near the Settler colonialist settlement Anatot. The escalation was also of the state forces who were present at the confrontation but all they did was arresting three activist on concocted charges. State force personnel living in the settlement who were of duty participated in the assault. The main locations of joint struggles the anarchists against the wall activists are the leading Israelis: Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nabi-Saleh, and Ma'asara keep the struggle going, and so are the struggles in Sheikh Jarrah, Arakib, Wallaje, and the South of Hebron Hills.

Anata

Friday, There was a kind of a pogrom committed against Palestinians and Israeli activists today in Anata. Israeli colonialist settlers, with the Israeli security forces doing nothing to calm them attacked both Palestinians and Israelis.

First round:

This morning (30/9) Israeli activists and Palestinians were attacked by settlers near the settlement of Atarot. The landowner of the plot to which the activists came in order to plant trees was also attacked by the settlers who cracked his head open, as well as attacking his wife. The two were have been hospitalized at Hadasa Ein Karem hospital.

Police officers who were present at the scene did nothing while the activists were beaten and their cameras smashed. Some of the attackers wore police shirts and carried service weapons, which attests to the fact that they are a part of the police force even though they were off duty.

Three of the Israeli activists who were attacked are... in detention at the Maale Edumin police station.

Three other activists have been hospitalized at Hadassa Ein Karem and an additional three have been arrested by the police, who have NOT arrested any of the assaulting settlers, in spite of having witnessed everything."

Second round:

Later this evening, more activists arrived to protest against the pogrom which had taken place earlier. They too were attacked and beaten, with stoned being thrown at them too. In spite of police presence at the scene, the police did nothing.

As a result of the second attack, 19 people have been injured, requiring medical attention, and three have been hospitalized at Hadasa Ein Karem. Again, several cameras were destroyed. Moreover, cars belonging to the activists, which were parked outside the settlement of Anatot, were damaged by the attackers, who smashed windshields and head and tail lights, as well as puncturing tires.

As every other Friday we marched at noon from center of the village towards the separation wall. we were about 20 Israelis with the AAtW initiative, about 20 internationals, leading figures from Ramalla, and the Bil'iners. Near the route of the old and now removed separation fence, at the memorial site for Bassem Abu Rahme speeches were carried - including the declaration of "green Palestine". Then we continue the march towards the new route of the separation wall. There, at the Abu Lemon nature reserve there was an art exhibition of struggle scenes pictures and also enjoyed some refreshments. Then we approached the separation fence. After a while, the state forces showered us with tear gas and we returned to the village.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle involve much wider spectrum of grass root nonviolent initiatives

Bil'in was the first of the joint struggle nonviolent struggle to persist. During the years new joint struggles started with involvement of the previous joint struggles and persist for long time. Older locations who did not persist, join again from time to time. Last year or so few additional struggles initiated by villages activists on their own initiative. The organizing of the joint comity of the local struggles enhance the struggle and initiate from time to time concentration of efforts in one location. Lately, another joint initiative of the comity intending for monitoring the colonialist settlers terror was started. Friday 23.09.2011 One demonstrator got shot in the weekly protest against the apartheid wall. Last friday demonstration in ni’lin, dozens of Palestinians together with a number of internationals and Israeli peace activists gathered in a peaceful march against the nearby Apartheid Wall. The demonstration was called by Ni’lin’s Popular Committee and started at 01:00 pm after Friday prayers under the olive trees in the fields.

The demonstrators raised Palestinian flags and carried a grave with “Good bye Occupation” written on it and chanted slogans condemning the last speech of the American president Obama who showed his full support for Israel and its ugly policy in Palestine.

Upon arrival at the gate of the Apartheid Wall, Palestinians, in a speech to the Israeli army, said that Palestinians will never give up or be scared by the Israelis threatening our existence and that freedom and justice will prevail someday. All the world is waking up and everything will change and Israel will pay for its crimes against the Palestinians.

The army responded with tear gas grenades and rubber coated steel bullets which caused a back injury to one Palestinian – dozens suffered from tear gas inhalation.

This week we will accompany Palestinians farmers and shepherds to their lands in several locations in South Hebron hills. Harassment of Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the area by both settlers and the army continues.

Last Friday the army erected new roadblock in South Hebron Hills.

On Monday the Civil Administration handed out new demolition orders for sttuctures in Khirbet Umm el-Khier.

On Wednesday morning a an armed settler from Karmel begun the construction of a new stone structure on a hill the Umm el-Khier shepherds must traverse on their ways to the grazing lands and back. The settler screamed at the shepherds and chased them away.

This coming Saturday, September 24, we need as any activists as possible to accompany Palestinian farmers and shepherds and help them stand up for their rights. There is a direct link between the number of activists who come to accompany the farmers and their ability to harvest and work their lands.

Vigil in memory of Ibrahim Zaza, 12 years old who was murdered by the Israeli-American killing machine in the Gaza strip Ghetto in front of the US embassy, Hayarkon 71, Tel Aviv Tuesday 20th September, 19:00. We were about 20 activists - mostly of the AAtW initiative.

Invitation: Tomorrow, Tuesday 20/9, we will hold a funeral/vigil for 12 year-old Ibrahim Zaza. Ibrahim succumbed to his wounds today after being severely hit by a rocket fired at him and his cousin, Mohammed (15), from an Israeli UAV (drone). The boys were were hit one month ago in Gaza, while playing on the street near their home, several meters away from the hospital gates.

The barbaric attack on these kids, which took Ibrahim's life, has been carried out with the absolute support, militarily and diplomatically, of the US - a full partner in crime. Ibrahim's death is a direct result of a murderous regime that disrespects human rights for non-Jews, as well as thanks to the overwhelming support for this regime by most western governments and primarily the American government.

MEDIA: Settlement Leaders Concerned Over Arab Patrols Following the announcement that Palestinians will begin unofficial civil defense patrols throughout Judea and Samaria.

The Popular Committees, a Palestinian group known for its involvement in protests against Israel’s West Bank security barrier, and Anarchists Against the Wall, an Israeli organization with which they frequently collaborate, have called for volunteers to man “several cars [that] will patrol the West Bank” in order to “quickly respond to cases of settler attacks.”

Participants in the “volunteer-based campaign” will also stand guard over local Arab villages in order to prevent price tag attacks by Israeli settlers.

Price tag is a term adopted by the extreme fringe of the settlement movement for assaults on Arab infrastructure and property as a retaliatory measure against the dismantlement of unauthorized outposts.

Mohammed Khatib of the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee commented that “if anyone needed further proof that Palestinians cannot count on Israeli authorities to prevent settler violence, recent events show beyond doubt why we need to organize to defend ourselves.”

Teams on the ground, which will be “composed of Palestinian, Israeli and international activists, will be directed from an operations-room in Ramallah, to which toll-free calls will be routed.”

Among the settlement leaders who have expressed their concerns is David Ha’ivri. Ha’ivri alleged that the patrol initiative was “another effort by the extremist left wing and Anarchist activists in Israel to cause friction between Jewish and Arab residents.”

Despite prior assurances from Palestinian police spokesman General Adnan Damiri that no forces independent of his command would be allowed to operate in the territories, the PA has come out in favor of the civilian initiative.

“This is not about any security functions, but rather about Palestinians, Israeli[s] and international [activists working] to document, in order to protect, Palestinians from settlers’ attacks. Therefore it does not contradict with what Damiri said,” stated PA spokesman Ghassan Khatib.

On Thursday, 15th September, 2011, IDF forces came to the Palestinian village El-Aqaba, near Tubas, and demolished three homes. Twenty two people were left homeless. The soldiers then demolished the access road to the village, named Peace Road , as well as an internal road. They erected earth mounds on the demolished roads.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle continue both in the occupied west bank and within Israel

Day after day, year after year, the struggle against the Israeli advanced expansion, suppression and pressures on the Palestinians to transferred out of the region continue all the time. The efforts of persistence - Tsumud in Arabic continue all the years with scant portion of the Jewish community members join that struggle. Some of them join specific aspects of the struggles only. Only very few join the struggle whole heartedly with out reservation. The struggle against the separation fence initiated by grass root activists of villages along the route which was joined by the Israeli anarchists against the wall (AAtW) 2003 brought the non violent direct action mode of the struggle to the focus of the media - to a large extent thanks for the video photographers of the AAtW and the active steal collective. Last years more and more Israeli radicals join us or initiate their own projects.

The focus of the struggle of the Southern Israel Bedouins again the renewed transfer measures, moved from the Arkib village to the whole "unrecognized" villages. Monday 19th September 18:30, at the government compound on the thous-west corner of the intersection of Begin and Caplan streets, vigil against the government decision to uproot 30,000 Bedouins from their lands and relocate them in few urban locations.

Palestinian farmers from Beit Ummar and Halhul are suffering constant sabotage on their agricultural lands by settlers, and are prevented from accessing it by the military:

On August 28, approximately 100 fruit tress in Wad Abu Rish between the Palestinian village of Saffa and the settlement of Bat Ayn were vandalized.

Last Saturday (September 10), soldiers drove away a group of farmers who came to work at a vineyard near the settlement near the settlement of Karmi Tsur. The soldiers broke the arm of one of the farmers, and arrested an international who was accompanying the farmers.

On Sunday (September 11), settlers vandalized over 170 vines belonging to farmers from Halhul.

In response to this continuing damage to the livelihood of the farmers and their families, we will accompany farmers from Beit Ummar and Halhul in the area this Friday September 16. For details and registration: D

Beit Ummar Saturday Demo 17/9/11

"The weekly peaceful demonstration set off in Beit-Ummar from the village center outside through the dirt track to the agriculture area in front of the settlement Carmei-Zur. In the demo took part approx 50 Palestinians, 15 internationals and 5 Israelis (from Tel-Aviv and Beer-Sheva), the protestors raised signs drawn by children promoting Palestinian state and justice, some Palestinians flags, including a huge flag carried away by some participants, and flags of countries that supported the Palestinian independence. When we arrived closer to the "security zone" surrounded the settlement and the settlers about 20-25 IOF soldiers were waited for us and closed the road so we could not went further up to the settlement fence. After some speeches we came closer to the soldiers and protested with some slogans promoting justice and end of the occupation (in Arabic and English). 20 minutes later we felt that the message delivered and we went back into the village, leaving behind the fully armed soldiers."

Bil'in

About 20 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall and a dozen of international activists joined the Bil'iners in the march towards the new separation wall. The wall is a new replacement of the separation fence moved to the west after years of struggle - returning half of the robbed lands of the village.

After a long verbal confrontation with the Israeli state force stationed there who pipped behind the wall, they lost their patience and stormed us with tear gas. As the norther wind was strong, I evaded the cloud of tear gas and missed my weekly dose.

“This village is a microcosm of Palestine” – al-Walaja fights the Separation Wall BY STEFFI UNSLEBER – SEPTEMBER 15, 2011http://www.palestinemonitor.org/?p=1805

The trees stood in the path of the Israeli Ministry of Defence’s planned extension to the controversial Separation Wall.

The machines work noisily in the background, clearing a path through the village’s traditional farmland. On both sides of the path lie recently uprooted trees. Al-Walaja residents claim over 100 were uprooted when Israeli workers entered the village in the early hours of Monday morning.

Al-Walaja is located four kilometers northwest of Bethlehem. Following the Six-Day War and the occupation of Palestinian territories in 1967, the Israeli government expanded Jerusalem Municipality’s boundaries to include some of al-Walaja’s land. The settlements of Gilo and Har Gilo neighborhoods of Jerusalem were established nearby in 1971 and 1972, respectively.

Sheerin Al-Araj, born and raised in al-Walaja, was visibly upset at the sight of the destruction and ignored the warnings of armed security personnel by moving to the lead machine. Followed by international activists, media and security personnel, her presence forced the construction work to stop.

After an hour-long standoff, several trucks arrived carrying Israeli defense personnel and protestors were told they had five minutes to clear the area or face arrest. Three female activists huddled together next to the digger and sang, “we shall overcome.” A female Japanese protester jumped in front of soldiers, raising a piece of paper, which said “No!”

Sheerin throws her hands into the air and looks skyward. “This village is a microcosm of Palestine,” she says. “Traditionally its lands were 18,000 dunams. In 1948, after Israel’s "independence" war we lost 11,000 dunams. Following the 1967 war we have had two settlements built, a by-pass road and now the Wall. We will be left with 2,200 dunams.”

According to a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the Supreme Court of Israel decided that the construction of the wall was legal as long as al-Walaja residents maintained access to their land through two gates.

The court decided that the fence provides Israel with protection from terrorism and that its path should not be changed. Villagers object the decision and say that there have been no terrorist attacks emanating from al-Walaja and have appealed the ruling. A decision is scheduled for September 27.

Sheerin believes the continued construction – despite the pending court ruling – is a deliberate tactic to ensure the position of the wall.

“They are doing this now because they know that if the Supreme Court finds in our favor it will be deemed too expensive for them to alter the Wall’s path,” she said. “The village was able to prevent the Wall’s construction from 2007 until 2010 but work began again in April.”

The protestors were dispersed, forced by the Israeli soldiers to run away. They scramble up a steep hill covered in thorny bushes, as the nearby construction machinery resumed its dusty and noisy work.

The mercy of the holy month of Ramadan has passed and there are demolitions again!

On Thursday 8th September, 2011 government representatives, accompanied by the police,

came to the Bedouin village El'Araqib and demolished it. They continued to El-Ghara (south of Hura) and demolished four homes and a barley warehouse. Thirty five folk were made homeless.

On Thursday morning, IDF forces arrived at the South Hebron Hills Bedouin village Umm

El-Kheir and demolished three homes and an outside toilet. Thirty people were left without a roof over their heads.

4 nice Jewish girls [with the anarchists against the wall] joined about 10 internationals and 20 Palestinian residents of Beit Umar in what was probably the shortest demonstration in the village history. 2 minutes and 3 slogans later, the general crowd was dispersed via extremely vindictive military use of pepper spray, aimed straight to the eyes of the peaceful protesters. 3 international activists were arrested and several others, both Palestinians and Israelis, were in need of medical care. Todays lesson, boys and girls: DO NOT WASH pepper spray with water. It burns like shit.


Bil'in demonstration 09-09-2011

About 20 Israelis of the anarchists against the wall and a dozen international activists joined the local village activists and a political party delegation from Ramalla in this Friday demonstration.
"The march began after Friday prayers from the center of the village and headed to the land that was restored and the nature reserve Abu Limon. Participants raised Palestinian flags and banners proclaiming 'Palestinian state 194' and 'the Palestine key to peace' as well as banners painted with the image of the captive leader Marwan Barghouti. They chanted the national calls for the end of the occupation, destruction of the apartheid wall, and steadfastness with the principles of Palestine. Upon the arrival of participants to the Abu Limon reserve, they walked along the concrete wall, set fire to tires, and tried to storm the fence adjacent to the wall. They addressed the settlers in the settlement of Matityahu East through loudspeakers, telling them to leave and leave the Palestinian territories to the Palestinians. During these actions the occupation forces stationed behind the concrete wall fired tear gas, live ammunition, and rubber bullets towards the participants. This led to the asphyxiation of dozens of participants and private network television crews present in the area".

Palestine-Israel, The involvement of activists in the Israeli uprising was in parallel to the joint struggle

The Israeli uprising included also the Israeli Palestinian citizens. Within the social justice struggle, the anarchist against the wall were involved mainly in the Lewinski tent camp that included the African refugees and in the Jaffa Jewish-Palestinian tent camp. We continued - though with smaller numbers in the regular joint struggle with the occupied west bank villagers in Beit Ommar, Bil'in, Qaddom, Ma'asara, Nabi Saleh, Ni'ilin, South of Hebron hills, Wallaje. Both in Israel and the occupied regions the vibrations of the nearing 20th September UN declaration of the Palestinian state was in the air.

Bil'in demo September 2, 2011

Today, dozens of demonstrators suffered asphyxia during the weekly march organized by the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in Bil'in. Those participating included dozens of Palestinians dozens of international activists, and Israeli peace activists.

The march including 15 Israelis, few internationals and Bil'iners, began after Friday prayers. We started from the center of the village and headed to the Abu Lemon nature reserve located in the part of land that was restored lately after 6 years of struggle.

Upon the arrival of the demonstrators to the Abu Lemon preserve, we walked along the concrete wall and addressed the settlers through loudspeakers to leave the settlement and leave the Palestinian territories to Palestinians. During this, the occupation forces who were stationed behind the concrete wall fired tear gas at the participants. It also started fires in the land just restored. When the demonstrates arrived at the gate in the wall, soldiers came to our side and comrades confronted them for a while till we returned to the village.

Al-Ma’sara

One arrested and 3 injured in the weekly demo of Al-Ma’sara.

Today at 1:00 Pm the people of AL-Ma’sara went in their weekly demo which organized by the popular committee against the wall and settlement. The demo starts from the center of the village. On the way, the demonstrators raise the Palestinian flags and chanted for the independence of Palestine.

As soon as the people arrived at the entrance of the village to reach their land which will be taken by the wall, the solders prevent them and they attack them and they arrest Shai Polack an Israeli activist after beating him trying to broke his hand. After that they attack the demonstrators, three of them were injured. Mahmoud zawahra the coordinator of the committee in his hand, Abed Ebiat in his nick, Rafat aladeen in his leg.

An-Nabi-Salih 2-9-11

Some 60 Nabi Saleh residents and their international and Israeli supporters held on Friday the first weekly demonstration after Ramadan, demanding an end to the occupation and to the Oslo accords and peace processes that sustain it. The procession was able to reach outside of the village's built area and onto the hill that overlooks the village's spring, which is, along with the surrounding village's lands, threatened by settlers' annexation. Typically, at the time of the demo, these lands were foreclosed by the Israeli army and border police which began shooting tear gas from below and above the descending protesters. While the Israeli soldiers and police forces avoided for the most part from entering the village's built area, they did encircle that area and did not cease their habit of firing tear gas into that area, on and around houses, putting the village's population under attack and not allowing for peaceful demonstrating to take place. These measures were sure followed by clashes between the Israeli forces and unarmed civilians throwing stones in an attempt to ward off the military incursion. At a certain point the Israeli forces started shooting live ammunition above the heads of civilians. A few people were hit and injured by the many tear gas canisters shot during the long hours of a sunny day.

Ni'lin

In N'ilin, villagers along with their Israeli and international supporters, marched up to the wall where soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs at them. Many were treated for effects of tear gas. This week protest ended with clashed between soldiers and local youth.
