Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle not only in occupied west bank not only about settler colonialism*
This week the focus of struggle enlarged a bit to include the ugly racist politics of the Israeli naZionist establishment regarding the refugees. The same strategy of sporadic vicious attacks on the back ground of ongoing harassment and pressure to get out applied to the Palestinians within the 1968 borders and the new 1967 ones is also applied to the 53 thousands African refugees. The racism inbuilt in the Zionist settler colonialism which built Israel and expand it in every opportunity is only refraining from harsher measures because of international pressure. Though Israel never adopted international conventions (with support of overwhelming majority of its Jewish community) it refrain from prolonged defying them. Thus, it did not kill the refugees freely on the border. It just make them as miserable as it can and put increasing numbers in a concentration camp.

Nabi Saleh 27/12/2013
Demonstration against the occupation
Israeli forces shot a local female activist from Nabi Saleh Manal Tamimi today with rubber coated steel bullets from a close range. In addition to Manal, two more Palestinians and two journalists Abbas Momani and Maath Mash'al were lightly injured.
Manal was hit with 4 rubber coated steel bullets in her knees and legs and was later taken to a hospital in Ramallah. Another girl from Nabi Saleh was also taken to hospital after being hit with skunk water. Dozens protestors have also suffocated from tear gas shot at them during the protest.
Israeli forces attacked the protestors in the village who protest weekly against the settlements with tear gas canisters, sound grenades, rubber bullets, rubber coated steel bullets and skunk water.

Qadum
"Hello everyone. What happened yesterday in Qadum is hard to describe. Long before we arrived - around ten o'clock' the occupation army was inside the village. The quantities of teargas fired was unbelievable. The Israeli state forces positioned soldiers on rooftops and fired from there aplenty. Conduct of members of the village was awe-inspiring. The absence of Murad and the circumstances
around the efforts to his release instilled in the villagers energies which are hard to describe in words. The atmosphere was impressive all the villagers demanded freedom.
Some of us know the efforts made to the justified release of Murad which was not sure to succeed. The respect we got from the friends in the village was far above and beyond what we deserve. All the houses were open to us and people came to congratulate and thank us.
One demonstrator was wounded in the head, got treatment in the village including stitches.

South Hebron hills
Saturday, 28-12-13,
A new post on yesterday's Ta'ayush activity. A weird encounter with the police. A weird encounter with a coexistence group. Another weird day of struggle against apartheid.
Israeli police try to block anarchists reaching South Hebron hills:
A police car stops the transit. The cop approaches asking if we’re anarchists. “We’re here to identify anarchists, and send them back!” He explains. He asks for IDs or passports. G refuses, saying there’s a court rule against arbitrary controls that forces police to conduct a search only with a provable suspicion. The cop threatens to detain him if he doesn’t identify himself. Uriel jumps in and presents his ID.
“Mr. V, are you anarchists?” The cop asks.
“Am I an anarchist?!” Uriel exclaims, and shuffling through his wallet, says: “Do you see an anarchist ID in here?”
The group is then released. This possibly immortal scene was captured in a hilarious video

Tel Aviv
Saturday 28-12-13 late evening. About 15 thousands African refugees and few hundred Israelis converged near Tel Aviv central bus station and marched to the municipal city square.
About 100 activists of the anarchist scene were among the marchers. Half the march was in silence and in the second half the shout "freedom" shacked the streets.
"NOW IN TEL AVIV: Thousands of African asylum seekers hold a 'silent march' to protest Israel’s immigration policies. The marchers are calling for the release of all refugees imprisoned under the Prevention of Infiltration Law, and for the recognition of their rights as refugees. Jewish Ethiopian women attempted to defend African asylum seekers and prevent their arrests during immigration raids that took place in south Tel Aviv (near the central bus station) Monday night.
Nationalist Israelis also showed up to support the police and cursed the Ethiopian Jewish women, shouting at them racist slogans, including, “Go back to Ethiopia.”

Don’t say we didn’t know #393
In 2003, the IDF blocked the main entrance to the Palestinian village Qaddum. Since then, the army has limited the residents’ access to their land (some 11 square kilometers or 11,000 dunams) near that main entrance road, to only once or twice a year. In 2011, the residents started weekly demonstrations, calling for the roadblock to be removed. In response, the IDF started attacking the village. Those attacks include nightly incursions and arrests (about 100 people have been arrested so far). Often, during those incursions, IDF soldiers throw tear gas and stun grenades into residents’ homes.
On 8th December, 2013 a two month old baby was injured by a tear gas grenade thrown into his home. He was taken to hospital where they saved his life.
On Friday, 20th December, 2013 IDF soldiers carried out a night raid and arrested two people, who were released after a while. The soldiers raided the home of the head of the popular committee, Murad Ashtawi, and interrogated him aggressively. A few hours later, soldiers returned to the village and arrested him. After he had been caught, he was sprayed with pepper spray and taken into custody in Huwwara. By Sunday morning he had still not been interrogated.
