Pal-Isra: The third intifada is officially in... the joint struggle do not yield to mounting pressure*

The Israeli authorities admit it have no solution or a strategy to stop or even restrict the third "unorganized" mainly individualist and of youth. The mass arrest of hundreds of under age children do not seems to have any effect. The transfer efforts do not stop, and even increase in the Jordan valley, area C, Jerusalem, and even within the 1948 borders. The controversy in the Israeli media is mainly about the admitting it is already one state and about initiating a better Bantustan order before international pressure will force a more substantial retreat from 1967 expansion. The B.D.S. media news are usually restricted only to dramatic additions in it. The Nebi Saleh community is in the focus of the efforts to stop the joint struggle and its Friday demos. In spite of it, the regular Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nebi Saleh, Ma'asarah, Qaddum, Sheikh Jarrah, West of Hebron Hills are accompanied from time to time by other communities.

11-12-15 "Today is the umpteenth time that photographers and civilians were attacked by the military. There was a lot of tear gas used against civilians and houses. Houses where innocent people live, men, women, children and the sick. The soldiers do not care about this because this is a way to intimidate people and to suppress and to create fear so that the weekly demonstrations will stop. Even today another four wounded, including three photographers who were clearly recognizable. So they can not say it was by "mistake". Today I was lucky, because they fired at me, too, but the bullets that were used have hit my wind-shield. I stood next my car and was doing my job, taking pictures. Unfortunately my gas mask didn’t survived today..because I could smell the tear gas. Despite all these attacks on us, we and the protesters will be standing there again next week and we will not let them stop us. As long as the wall stand, we are standing too." https://www.facebook.com/haytham.alkhateeb/posts/10207068166075538

Today 4-12-5 With over 110 Palestinians extra-judicially killed by the Israeli army, many of whom minors, residents of Nabi Saleh staged their Friday demonstration, defying Israeli brutality. Protesters marched along the main road, which is often closed by the IDF as punitive measure, and confronted the soldiers, who fired many barrages of tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets. No major injuries reported. Meanwhile, two more Palestinians were killed by the IDF in the nearby village of ‘Aboud and on road 60 north of Ramallah., photos from Nabi saleh Demonstration

11-12-15 Commemorating the village's martyrs Mustafa and Rushdi Tamimi, activists from Nabi Saleh marched from the village's main square towards the main road and the checkpoint. Four years ago, Mustafa Tamimi, 28, was shot and killed by an Israeli soldiers who was sitting inside an armoured vehicle and aimed his weapon directly at Tamimi's head. The village's women spelled Mustafa's name with stones, and then some of the children proceeded towards the main gate with footballs. The Israeli soldiers targeted the children with tear gas canisters. They were also using new and improved tear gas launchers that has a much bigger range. In addition, the soldiers also fired rubber-coated steel bullets, injuring several protesters.

Don't Say We Didn't Know 477
It is International Struggle Against Racism Day! But here we have no such struggle. Racism and its daughter – cruelty – are running wild, unimpeded. After the army yesterday confiscated all the temporary shelters and tents brought by the International Red Cross, as well as rods and other equipment, tonight the people of Al Hadidiya sheltered themselves under nylon sheets. It was raining, not hard but still annoying and wet. In the middle of the night the Israeli army arrived, removed the nylon sheets and took them away.

Don’t say we did not know #478

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 8th-9th December, 2015, IDF soldiers entered the Palestinian village Taban, in Firing Zone No. 918, in the South Hebron Hills region, and confiscated building materials and a vehicle.
---- ----
In the Bedouin village El Grein, south of Hura, a Bedouin “self-demolished” his own home, following a threat from the state that otherwise it would demolish it and charge him with the demolition expenses. On Thursday, 10th December, 2015, government representatives escorted by the police came to demolish the floor and foundations of the home.

Pal-Isra, The one state the joint struggle try to change*.

You struggle when you have hope for a developing change. You struggle when you refuse to accept the present as the only possible future. You struggle even when the hope is low just to keep your dignity from evaporating. And there are people their rage is so strong that no reasoning can hold them back. Now, when the hope for a better common future evaporated, and the hope for a nice personal future is even lower, the anger of lot of youth is stronger than the preservation of life instinct... it is just waiting for a chancy trigger to pull another boy or girl and send them to a suicide mission. And the mighty Israeli state just start to admit that their brutality reached the wall it cannot overcome. The military elite already stated to reveal it in the open that the new emerging "individualist" Intifada cannot be stopped by force. For those who are not burnt out or desperate the non armed joint struggle is the only sane road.

Bil'in

13/11/2015 Friday 13-11-15, the strangest ever demo in the nearly 11 years of Friday demos. This noon, when we converged at the western margin of the village as the last months, (10 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative dozens of internationals, dignitaries from Ramallah, and the local people) the usual convoy of Israeli armed forces were not there to block our way to the new separation wall.
We immediately reorganized and travelled to the vicinity of the gate of the separation wall. Cautiously we approached the gate... but nothing happened.
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10207958920354006
The soldiers opened symbolically the gate to show us the armoured car parking behind it and shut it again. Even when the few shabab youth started to throw stones of them - they refrained from any warning or shooting.
Many of the participants got bored and returned to the village, while the more resourceful moved to the Abu Lamun oak wood where the youth converged.
Soon, the unit of border police which had entirely different mood came with cars, harassed both the youth, and the other demonstrators. The also arrested Mohamed Khatib of the village comity and three internationals.
"Do you want to know what the Israeli occupation commander told his soldiers?"
"Don't get too close to those Palestinians journalists, they carry knives with them. If any of them get close just shoot them."
Watch how six Israeli occupation Soldiers attack and severely beat an Italian man before he was arrested for participating in the non violent demonstration in solidarity with the Palestinian people .Palestinian and 2 Americans were also arrested .

Nabi Saleh

13/11/2015 "villagers from Nabi Saleh confronted the IDF protesting the ongoing occupation, land confiscation and mass arrests. As many of the village’s youth remain in Israeli military jail awaiting trial, the IDF stages nightly raids, and often closes the main gateway to the village. The Israeli soldiers deployed barraged of tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets to disperse protesters. No major injuries reported."
International Solidarity Movement (ISM) report via twitter that Israeli Occupation Forces have fired around 20 rounds of tear-gas at the peaceful Friday demonstration, targeting the press. Four International activists have been arrested while participating in the regular Friday demonstration in Nabi Saleh and an Italian man has prevented by the IOF from receiving medical help.

The village of Nabi Sales commemorated Rushdi Tamimi who was shot and killed by the Israeli army three years ago, during a demonstration against the war on Gaza, operation pillar of defence. Villagers and solidarity activists marched on the main road, when the IDF fired barrage of tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. A tear gas canister was fired in my direction, causing my eyes an acute burning sensation. Even when I crouched toward the ground, soldiers continued to fire in my direction. The effects of the tear gas then lingered for many hours after the demonstration concluded.

Friday 27-11-15 two injuries with live bullets today in Kafr Qadddom
Qaysar Jehad 13 and Hamza Motee´ 22 were shot in their legs today during the Israeli occupation army to Kafr Qudoum march.
The march began after praying to the eastern of the village but at the first moment we didn't see army so this means that some of the soldiers hide in an ambush because we saw one jeep comes towards us and goes back to give the youths the chance to follow it to let the soldiers arrest them from the ambush.
Suddenly appeared a group of special forces soldiers and shot live bullets caused the tow injuries.
After that the soldiers chased us with jeeps and bulldozer shooting gas and rubber bullets until we finished the march at 3:00.

Don't say we did not know #473

The Israeli army persists in its efforts to force the Palestinians out of the Jordan valley. It notified the Palestinian inhabitants of Khirbet Khumsa, in the northern Jordan valley to evacuate because of forthcoming military manoeuvres. The inhabitants were evacuated on Monday, November 2, 2015, from 06:00 AM till midnight. On Thursday, November 5, 2015 they were evacuated again for the same reasons. The army informed them that in the coming week, they will be ordered out of their homes again on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

- Continuing an item in "Don't say..." #468 -- The Israeli army told a Palestinian of Umm El Jamal, in the northern Jordan Valley, that he could get back his tractor which the army confiscated on September 16, 2015, if he pay a NIS 4600 fine. A month earlier he redeemed the same tractor for NIS 3700. He was told that the army will continue to confiscate his property until he leaves.

Fearing state threats that they are forced to pay for the demolitions, two Bedouins from Wadi Gawin (near road 31) demolished their own homes.

On Thursday, November 5, 2015, government agents escorted by police arrived and demolished Bedouin homes. East of Tell Sheva they demolished a home. in Al Fur'a, near Arad, a shop. In El Dardani, near 'Ar'ara, they demolished a home.

On Saturday, 31st October, 2015, Ahmed Nassar stood with an ambulance near a Palestinian demonstration, in front of the IDF base at Beit El. An IDF jeep hit one of the demonstrators. Ahmed and another ambulance crew member went to the wounded person in order to treat him, and take him to hospital. The IDF soldiers prevented them from doing so, and sprayed pepper gas at them. A journalist covering the event was hurt too. Two and a half days later (at 2:30 a.m.) IDF soldiers came to Ahmed’s home to arrest him. During the arrest, they beat him and broke five of his ribs. During his interrogation, it was claimed that he had thrown stones at soldiers in Beitunia (where he lives). When it was obvious that the charge was completely unfounded, he was released from detention.

On Thursday, 19th November, 2015, once again there were clashes between IDF soldiers and Palestinian children passing through the Qitoun checkpoint, on their way to school in Hebron. International volunteers, there to monitor, report that 18 tear gas grenades were fired at the children. A short while later, IDF soldiers fired tear gas canisters in the vicinity of Al Zahra Girls School. Thirty seven young girls were injured by inhaling the tear gas.

Even though a stop work order had been frozen until 31st December, 2015, on Wednesday, 25th November, 2015, IDF soldiers arrived and demolished some 200 metres of the entry road to the Palestinian village El Hadidiya, near the settlement Roee, in the Jordan Valley. After phone calls had been made, a Civil Administration officer arrived and halted the demolition.
The next day IDF soldiers came back and demolished three families’ homes and sheep-pens. Since that demolition, the army has not permitted residents to erect tents and is calling for eviction from the site, using threats.

Pale-Isra - The one state the "realist" Zionists strived for and the (joint) struggle.

In the beginning of the British mandate of the both sides of the Jordan, when Palestine was divided by the UK into two entities - each on one side of the Jordan, the secular national socialists accepted it while the rightist opposed. They still have in their movement anthem: "two sides to the Jordan - this side and the other are ours too". After Israel grabbed 75% of the west bank of Palestine in 1948 war, the Zionist elite of all trends was urging and waiting for opportunity to enlarge its share. The 1956 war failed to supply it but the 1967 one gave Israel all the west bank (and some more like Sinai - which it had to give back). The efforts to transfer the Palestinian out was successful in 1948 war, was less successful in the 1967 war, and much less substantial later - in spite of the efforts. The fear of transfer which inhibited the urge to struggle - both within 1948 borders and the enlarged 1967 ones is gradually dwindling and the non armed popular struggle - though hesitant, is gradually collecting momentum.

Due to the northern wind the state forces forced us to regroup out of their shooting range, but they failed to disperse us in the allotted half hour of confrontation.

Gradually, about dozen of Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative, about ten internationals and many youth of the village and near by villages joined the village activists and gradually we entered the usually forbidden area around the old route of the separation fence. After a long while the state force arrived... and started to confront the youngsters with lot of tear gas leaving the few of us who were near the rote to stand in peace and view their activity from the side of the road (and the stones and tear gas canisters the shabab threw on them).
After a long while when the cloud of tear gas was cleared for a while we left the soldiers and regrouped to the line where the youth and other demonstrators were dispersed.
Long after the usual 30 minutes the state force continue the confrontation a after nearly 2 hours still few of the youth still confronted them.

Before starting the demo, while converging to the march, the state forces sent a unit to ambush the youth among the olive trees. The tear gas canister were shot too before we started to march. Though the soldiers came nearer to the village than usual, due to the many gas masques and the southern wind, we just had to retreat nearer the village than usual. After the failed ambush and the allotted 30 minute for harassment, the soldiers retreated to behind the new separation wall and many marched to the forbidden region near it. With dozens of Palestinians killed in the past months by Israeli forces, villagers in Nabi Saleh confronted the IDF to protest this wave of brutality, in addition to continued land confiscations and construction of Jewish-only settlements. Israel, on its part, has attempted to squash these weekly protest through a wave of arrests. In the last few weeks, 15 young residents of Nabi Saleh have been arrested from their homes, including a young woman, They are all being interrogated by the Israeli Shabak as their detention is repeatedly extended by a military judge. Today, the Israeli soldiers fired tear gas canister and rubber-coated steel bullets at demonstrators in an attempt to disperse them. No major injuries reported.

Ni'ilin

October 20 the main entrance to the village of Ni'lin was completely blocked with concrete barriers, perhaps as a form of collective punishment against the very existence of the village. The next day, soldiers invaded the village on the main road and clashed with young stone throwers. When they ran out of tear gas they started using live ammunition. Three young men were wounded one got head injury. Transporting the wounded to the hospital was deliberately denied by the soldiers. On Friday (October 23) fuel trucks that were supposed to go into the village stood near the blocked entrance. After indirect negotiations and fear of tankers loaded with fuel that stand near occupied population that have nothing to lose, the road was temporarily opened. A number of Palestinian vehicles, trying to enter with the fuel trucks, were stopped and the soldiers confiscated the car keys. The drivers and their cars became a shield against stone-throwing. It seemed that the soldiers were relaxed because they were fully shielded and armoured. They passed the time by firing rubber bullets from time to time. A television crew that arrived and settled near the soldiers fled the scene quickly. From time to time even when I was not close to stone throwers the soldiers fired towards me (rubber coated steel bullets). Apparently it was a

Don't say we did not know #471

On Thursday, 8th October, 2015, a Palestinian from Tayassir transported bales of hay to the owner of a flock of sheep, in neighbouring Al-Aqaba. IDF soldiers confiscated the tractor and cart.
Past experience teaches that the IDF will now demand thousands of shekels for the return of confiscated property – the tractor and cart.

-----------------------------------------------

Don't say we did not know #472

Our bus - a bus of leftist peace activists who had came to the West Bank to help with the olive harvest - stopped at the entrance to the olive groves of the Palestinian village, Burin, between the settlements Bracha and Yizhar. As we got off the bus, IDF Jeeps arrived and soldiers - with masks on their faces – prohibited us from entering the olive groves. The harvest had been co-ordinated with the DCL (District Co-ordination & Liaison of the Civil Administration of the IDF). The harvest organisers phoned the DCL. They were told to wait until officers had checked the matter. Meanwhile, the (civilian) security co-ordinator of the nearby Yizhar settlement turned up. I was surprised to see a religious Jew driving on Shabbat. Meanwhile he and other settlers expelled Palestinians who were harvesting near the settlement's fence - even though they had been given permission by the army. Land robbery is apparently permitted on Shabbat... We talked to the soldiers about that, but apparently they were not in the least bothered.

The army probably assumes that leftist activists coming to assist Palestinians with the harvest pose a military threat to the State and to a settlement a kilometre away. Indeed after some officers arrived, it seemed that we (Israeli citizens!) were indeed a threat to Israeli citizens: the IDF proclaimed the area a closed military zone and commanded us to leave. We were afraid that if we insisted on staying, it would cause problems for the Palestinian farmers, so we left.

We had come to help the Palestinians of Burin who are regularly attacked by settlers from Yizhar and the Givat Ronen outpost. We must emphasise that the Palestinian farmers are attacked in their village and their own fields. So, in many places in the West Bank, settlers are taking over land from Palestinians when those Palestinians cannot hold out against the regular, repeated attacks. Usually the IDF does not interfere. On that Saturday, 31st October, 2015, the IDF helped the settlers by driving us out, preventing us from helping or being a non-violent human shield for those victims of the settlers, the Palestinians.

Palestine-Israel - The third Intifada is collecting momentum - The joint unarmed struggle continue

The fiasco of the failed take over of the relatively independent Iraq and Syria, by US imperialism lead to the compromises with the independent Iran. Israel role of threat on Iran during the bargain gave israel increased freedom to suppress the Palestinians. The returning of Russia to the Syrian arena give Israel more rope and it use it to intensify the efforts to take over the area C lands of the west bank. The third intifada is a desperate response of the Palestinians who see that the end of occupation is removed to behind the horizon. The joint struggle continue not as a rising hope but as a stubborn Tsumud of not giving up. The intensifying attack of the Israeli state and its rightist agents ignited a lot of social and individual responses. The Israeli media and public is not in 100% support of the state activities.

Bil'in

25-9-15 15 Israelis and few internationals joined the Bil'iners and others in this Friday demo. The Israeli state force dedicated the usual 30 minutes to harass the Friday demonstration just as we started to march down the village hill. In spite of the temporary suffocation from the huge amount of the tear gas, few activists who survived better the tear gas barrage marched to the forbidden zone of the new separation wall and confronted there the soldiers.

2-10-15 Another Friday in Bil'in. Another intimate meeting for the Israeli and the activists of Bilin. Accompanied with Catalonian anarchists and other internationals we marched down the hill. Nearing the Israeli soldiers they started to shoot the tear gas canisters. Due to the northern wind we only had to retreat a bit and continue the demo till the soldiers left. Barely got some tear gas - compensation for last week flood.

Nabi Saleh

2.10.2015 Residents of Nabi Saleh and solidarity activists staged the weekly march towards the al-Qaws spring, which was expropriated by the settlers from nearby Halamish in 2009. This weekly demonstrations began after the settlers took over the spring and adjoining lands owned by Nabi Saleh and Deir Nizam, renamed the site “Maayan Meir” and with the assistance of the IDF, blocked Palestinians from using the spring. In 2013, the Israeli supreme court ordered the settlers to cease any further works in the site and the immediate dismantling of existing structures. Nevertheless, the IDF still prohibits the Palestinian owners from reaching their lands. On the first Friday of October 2015, settlers staged a demonstration, marching from Halamish to the spring as a show of force, under military protection, while Palestinians were forced to watch from the opposite hill.

On Thursday, 3rd September, 2015, at 3:00 a.m., IDF soldiers entered the homes of six Palestinian families in Hebron to carry out search operations. They broke doors, damaged furniture and a car. Three men were arrested, then released, and summoned for interrogation. The Palestinians lodged a complaint that soldiers had stolen NIS 1200 and a gold pendant.

On Monday, 7th September, 2015, government representatives, escorted by the police, demolished a home in Umm Batin, near Omer. In El-Ghara, near Road 31, they demolished a home.

On Wednesday, 16th September, 2015, IDF soldiers came to the Bedouin village Khirbet Umm El Jamal, near Maskiot settlement, in the north of the occupied Jordan Valley. They confiscated a tractor belonging to a resident, and threatened all those living there that if they didn't leave, their water tanks and farming equipment would be impounded.
Last January, 2015, the IDF demolished the entire village.
On Thursday, 17th September, 2015, government representatives, escorted by the police, again uprooted olive trees in the village Za'arura, near Kseife, in the Negev. They also yet again demolished El-Araqib.

On Monday, 21st September, 2015, 170 Palestinian children from Hebron passed through Qitioun checkpoint on the way to their (elementary) school. One or two kids threw stones at the soldiers. The soldiers responded by firing three tear-gas grenades and a stun grenade at the children. Returning from school, stones were again thrown and the soldiers responded with four tear-gas grenades fired at the children.

On Tuesday, 22nd September, 2015, a Palestinian shepherd from Fasayil, in the occupied Jordan Valley, crossed the road with his herd of sheep near the settlement Masua. While crossing, an Israeli (presumably a settler) came by in his car (a 4x4 Toyota). The shepherd signalled to him to stop and wait until the sheep had finished crossing. The Israeli continued to drive, running over and killing forty sheep and then immediately drove away.

Palestine-Israel, The non armed social struggle increase in response to increase in Israeli assaults.

Israeli state which failed in its year ago offensive on the Hamas in Gaza, suffer also from its diminishing bargain power in the international arena, manipulate the internal discomfort of public opinions by increasing the encroachment on Palestinian spaces - both in the 1967 occupied west bank and within the 1948 borders. The diminishing in the support of the Israeli elite to the prime minister Netaniahu and his group push him to increase his political gambling that can crash him in the first big loss. His failure to pass his Gas scheme and the civil case in court in which his wife is grilled, may be the first signs of his approaching doom. In spite the efforts to lower the social pressure in the west bank by increasing the employment of west-bakers within Israel the popular resistance increase both in the occupied Jerusalem and in the west bank.

Bil'in

Friday 11-9-15 - The demonstration today, in Bi'lin was in solidarity with the prisoners and the Dawahbshi-family who were burned alive and ultimately die of their injuries. Two dozen Israelis (half with the anarchists against the wall and half the Yosamba drummers), Joined dozens of internationals... and the Bil'in activists for an half hour of confrontation with the Israeli armed forces. The wind was not friendly today and sided with the soldiers. The tear gas today was not too fragrant.
We were pushed back to the edge of the village but refused to disperse and mingled for awhile after the state force went away contemplating a march to the forbidden area of the separation wall on the west of the freed lands.

Friday 18-9-15 - never a boring Friday. 9 Israelis (the tenth one got cold feet just when we entered the cars ...), and nearly 20 internationals, joined the local activists in the weekly demo. The Israeli soldiers were seemed too passive and we approach the "war zone" cautiously. And the usual shower of tear gas was not coming. The more daring ones started to climb the hill approaching the soldier who were strong on warning but very few tear gas was thrown. Some of the activists stayed near the soldiers till the 30 minutes confrontation ended and they went away without any of the horrible thing we suspected from the strange behaviour of the soldiers.
It seems the belligerent higher commander of the region was replaced with more sane one and thus the last few "strange" weekly demos.

Nabi Saleh

This Friday, 11/09/2015 Palestinians called for hoisting the national flag, as a symbol of steadfastness and resistance to the ongoing Israeli occupation. In addition, Palestinians expressed their rage over the killing of the Dawabsheh family of Duma – Sa’d, baby Ali and Riham, who passed away earlier this week – and call on the Israeli authorities to arrest the arsonists. In Nabi Saleh, which has endured increased violence in the past few weeks, locals and solidarity activists confronted the Israeli army waving the Palestinian flag. The IDF responded with tear gas and rubber bullets, as well as several attempts to nab protesters and arrest them. Soldiers tried to ambush protesters, but failed to arrest them. Instead, they raided the village and hurled sun grenades and tear gas canister at houses and olive trees, causing a small fire. No major injuries reported.

On Friday, 28th August, 2015, during the weekly demonstration of the Palestinian village Qadum, where villagers protest land confiscations and closure of the road to their village, IDF soldiers sprayed water on an electricity transformer which transfers electricity to the village. As a result, the villagers had to replace the transformer.
On Friday, 4th September, 2015, IDF soldiers damaged the transformer, yet again, during the weekly demonstration against land confiscations. Yet again the villagers had to replace the transformer. In both cases, the entire village was without power for some hours.
On Tuesday, 1st September, 2015 at 11:30 p.m., a settler from Qedumim damaged an electricity pole which conducts electricity through the settlement, causing an electricity outage in the Palestinian village Qadum for 13 hours.

Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle really changed the world*

The failed arrest of 12 year old child in Nabi Saleh caused a million views storm in the media. This situation and the next Friday of the joint struggle demonstrated again how the involvement of the AATW Israeli Jews prevented in the past and prevent now the extinguishing of the non armed Palestinian struggle with rivers of blood. It was one shooting of Gil Naamati in 2003 in a joint action of the anarchists AATW that caused a real wide media scandal in Israel (which forced the higher commander of the army to visit him at hospital and apologize) that resulted in the change of shooting order about dispersing non armed demonstrations in the occupied lands when Israelis are involved. In addition to our helping to distribute the news, Our main contribution is the supply of "life insurance" to the Palestinians and even to the stone throwers in the demos.... though it is not perfect and along the years about 20 were killed and many more were injured.

Bil'in

Friday 21-8-15 Friday 21-8-15 in Bil'in. It started as usual with marching down the hill the village is located on towards the old route of the dismantled separation fence.
8 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall with dozens of internationals joined the village activists.
Just when we reached the valley the Israeli state forces started to shower us with tear gas. Taking advantage of the northern wind part of us moved north through the olive orchard to confront the other unit positioned there. After less than the usual 30 minutes of confrontation the state forces returned to their position behind the newer separation wall on the west.
We regrouped and we started a new march towards the last months forbidden area between the old route and the new wall.
It took a while to the surprised state force to return to our side of the wall and start shooting tear gas.
After a long confrontation we ended the demo and returned to the village.
Another week in a row I missed the tear gas because the northern wind and being too careful...

28-8-15 Border police came again for training in Bil'in Friday demo and arrested one activist and one photographer.
This Friday was promising surprises. The northern wind brought the hope the Israeli forces will not have an easy day. However, the 5 Israelis and two dozen internationals that joined the local activists could predict before hand that it will not be easy. There were more than usual armoured car waiting for us. There were border police which promised arrests...
As part of their vicious plan, they "allowed" us to cross the valley and come near them. Only then they started to shower us with tear gas. A unit positioned not far from the road as a kind of ambush was ready to get into action.
The abrupt change in the wind carrying the tear gas delayed the arrests for a while.
Not long afterwards the arrest were done and one long time activist and a young photographer were taken.
A moderate dose of tear gas covered for me the deficit of the previous two Fridays on which I was too careful.

4.9.15 It was just another Friday demo against the occupation and settlers but it turned to be a very strange one. Five Israelis with the AATW and bus load of few dozen internationals joined the Bil'iners. The Israeli forces came as usual the last few months to block our way to the new separation wall on the border of the lands given back by court order. They even positioned one armoured car nearer to the olive orchard at the foot of the hill so we will be within the range of tear gas shooting. When we passed the imaginary line, the state force shoot few grenades of tear gas and than stopped. Cautiously the more daring one advanced a bit but the usual barrage of tear gas never come. Even when the soldiers identified one of the shabab who was throwing stones, the just warned him they will come to arrest him - no tear gas, no rubber coated bullet and not live fire... just warning. After the usual 30 minutes of presence the state forces left the area and we declared another victory.

Bilal will be arrested until Sunday, and brought to the military court"
"With the news of the release of Muhammad 'Alan from administrative detention, Palestinian residents of Nabi Saleh, accompanied by solidarity activists, marched demanding the release of all political prisoners. 'Alan was on hunger strike for over two months, until the Israeli Supreme Court decided to temporarily lift his administrative detention order until his medical condition is clear. The IDF attempted to disperse the protesters using tear gas and rubber-coated steel bullets, and then proceeded to arrest three people, all of them were engaging in documenting the protest: Bilal Tamimi, a local journalist, Sarit Michaeli, Betselem's spokesperson and David Reeb, an Israeli videographer."

28-8-15 Palestinians marched on Friday towards their confiscated lands, chanting against the ongoing Israeli occupation. The IDF responded with tear gas and rubber bullets. A group of soldiers also ambushed the protesters, and while other soldiers diverted the attention of the villagers, this group began to chase after protesters in an attempt to arrest them. One Palestinian (19) and an international activist were thus arrested and taken away. An Israeli soldier tried to detain a minor (12 - with a broken hand) during clashes in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh on Friday, but a number of Palestinian women and children managed to stop him. 4.9.2015 In the wake of events of the previous Friday and global media attention, more Israelis with the anarchists against the wall, internationals, and Palestinians joined villagers of Nabi Saleh in a show of defiance against the occupation. Settlers also gathered across the hill, in the entrance to Halamish, in support of the Israeli army’s suppression of the Palestinian march. The IDF attempted to disperse the Palestinians initially with stun grenades, then tear gas and rubber coated steel bullets. The soldiers also arrested five Palestinians, including the journalist. They were all released later in the day. Although several protesters were hit by rubber bullets, no serious injuries were reported.

Don't say we didn’t know #463

On Tuesday, 11th August, 2015, IDF soldiers came to the Palestinian village Jiftlik, in the Jordan Valley, to demolish two homes and two sheep-pens. The soldiers continued to Humsa, near the Bekaot checkpoint, and demolished a home and three sheep-pens there.

Eighteen souls were made homeless.

Sheikh Jarakh

Friday, 4.9, at 16:00 we will meet in the protest square in Sheikh Jerrah. Six years ago began the struggle against the evacuation of families from their homes by organized settlers, which manage to do so by an unequal usage of laws about the property following the 1948 war.
The successful struggle stopped any further evacuations in Sheikh Jerrah but could not do so for the entire city. The settlers’ organization discover new and awful ways to take control of more and more property in neighbourhoods like Silwan and the Muslim Quarter. In other places the city hall confiscates the lands that meant for development ; the separation wall was build inside the city to maintain an absolute Jewish majority.
In Sheikh Jerrah itself the trails about the different houses are about to be opened soon. In these days the tension is rising and the level of violence is again going up.
We will not allow the racist discrimination!
We won’t have privileges for Jews only!
We will not let the settlers expropriate steal and control!

Don't Say We Didn't Know 464

Many demolitions were carried out last week in the West Bank. Most of them were exposed in the media.

With the upcoming school year, I feel obliged to give voice to the following case:

On Thursday, August 20, 2015, Israeli soldiers demolished the schoolhouse that has been built in the Palestinian village of Khirbat Samra (in the Palestinian Jordan Valley, east of the Allon Road). Let it be known that in that entire area of the northern Palestinian Jordan Valley there is not a single school for Palestinian children now!

Don't say we didn’t know #465

On Sunday, 23rd August, 2015, earthworks for the building of the Jewish community Hiran, began. Hiran will be built on, and instead of, the Bedouin village Umm Al Hiran.

On Wednesday, 26th August, 2015, representatives of the government, escorted by the police, came for a day of demolitions in Bedouin villages in the Negev. In El-Za'arura, south-west of Arad, they uprooted olive trees and demolished a flood dam. In Kufr Ser, near Dimona, they demolished a home. In Bir El Hammam, near moshav Nevatim, they destroyed three homes. In Wadi Gawain, near Road No. 31, they demolished a shig (a Bedouin tent that serves as a community centre for men).
They demolished El'Araqib, yet again.

Palestine-Israel, The joint non armed struggle lost its excitement of novelty but it earned its replacement in the Tsumud (persistence)*

No one could predict that the joint camp in Masha 12 years ago of Israeli and Palestinian activists will ignite a wide movement of a joint non armed struggle which the Israeli occupying system will fail to extinguish. The thousands of activities and the tens of thousands of participates were not expected. Many small victories and the international B.D.S. warm the hearts of the not too many who persist in the joint struggle in spite of the mourning of those killed, empathy with the injured and solidarity with those arrested. The strong bond of partnership between the Palestinian activists and the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall initiative was surprising. Disappointing but not surprising is the way the people of the Israeli anarchist scene refrained from adopting the initiative as the main recruiting mission. Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asara, Nebi Saleh, and Qaddum are still holding high the banner.

Bil'in

31-7-15 Today the demonstration was in solidarity with the baby burnt alive by settlers. This Palestinian baby has a name , his name is Ali Darabsha from Doma near #Nablus .
Another week in the long voyage for a better future in Bil'in. On the last day of the July month. 7 Israelis with the dwindling Anarchists Against the Wall initiative joined about dozen and a half internationals and the Bil'iners activists that refuse to stop struggling for a better future to the weekly demonstration. As usual lately, the Israeli state forces were waiting for us at the route of the route of the route of the old (dismantled) separation fence - just near the memorial of Bassem (Fil). When neared the range of the tear gas canisters the soldiers try to flood us with tear gas. Because of the changing directions of the wind we only needed to retreat a bit. After the usual lately 30 minutes, the state force went away with out trying to disperse us, and some of the demonstrators celebrated the small victory by going up the hill to the memorial for Bassem at the old route of the dismantled separation fence.

Bil'in Friday 7-8-15 8 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative, joined about 20 international activists and the village activists in the weekly demo. The friendly wind prevented the state force from disperse us - only forced most of us to retreat a bit before advancing again. After the third wave most of us returned to the village. The frequent showers of tear gas remained us we are really in a war and not just in a strange ritual.
Do not burn us- leave us to live in peace, let us have a future.
Palestinian children protesting today in the West Bank village of Bil'in wear a bib in solidarity with 18 month old Ali Saad Dawabsha, who was burned to death last week when an Israeli settler terrorist lit his house on fire with a firebomb while his entire family was sleeping inside. The bibs read "Good morning my mother", symbolically representing how Ali never got to and will never get to speak those words to his mother. The bibs also bear a yellow star, similar to the star that Hitler used to make the Jews wear to identify them and burn them. The kids also hold signs that read "Leave us to live a future" and "Leave us to live in peace."

Bil'in Friday 14-8-15 7 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative joined international and village activists. While marching down the hill and chanting, the Israeli state forces started to shower us with tear gas. A military drone was flying high above to monitor the demo. The more experienced of us evaded the tear gas by moving to the north. When the soldiers on the north side went away I returned to the place the demo started from - waiting with others for the rest of the soldiers to go away... Only there I become aware I had not even smelled a bit of tear gas today.

31-7-15 Following the Friday midday prayers, residents of Nabi Saleh marched to express their rage over the killing of Ali Dawabsheh. Ali, a toddle of a year and a half, burnt to death when Jewish settlers set fire to his family's home in the dead of night. Ali's parents and brother suffered massive burns and are in critical condition at the hospital. The IDF attempted to disperse the march using tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel bullets.

Don't Say We Did Not Know #460

On July 18, 2015, Palestinians of the village Turmus ‘Aya discovered that 150 of their olive saplings had been either uprooted or destroyed by settlers. Their land is situated near a settlers' outpost called Adei Ad. This is the third time this year that settlers uproot or damage olive saplings belonging to the people of Turmus ‘Aya.
----- -----
Government agents escorted by police arrived on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, and demolished Bedouin homes in the Negev. They destroyed a home in Hura and another home in Hashm Zane (near Nevatim).

Don't Say We Didn't Know 461

A Palestinian chose to behave like a human being in spite of circumstances:
Nasser Jaber, of Hebron, crossed the neighborhood checkpoint (Jaber and Jabbari) on his way home on Wednesday, July 29 2015. After getting back his ID and permission to pass, he said "Have a good day" to the soldier. The soldier replied angrily that he was "not a friend of his", beat Nasser in the head and arrested him. Two hours later Nasser was taken to Hadassah En Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. After being treated there, he was returned to custody in Hebron. After release from custody, he was hospitalized in Hebron.

Don't Say We Didn't Know 462

The Prime Minister and his ministers condemned the murder of Palestinian baby Ali Dawabshe. That could have given hope for a different spirit on the part of the government and the Israeli army. Sadly, nothing on the ground has changed.
On Saturday August 1, 2015, settlers assaulted Palestinian farmers of Qusra village (west of Duma) who were tilling their land, situated in Area B. After the locals managed to calms things down, a policeman arrived and, at the settlers' behest, tried to arrest Palestinians. This revived the confrontation. The policeman ran off. In the clash that followed, Palestinians protected a policewoman present on the spot. The soldiers and policemen there did not detain any of the assailants.
That same day, settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Mughayer (south of Duma) and tried to set a home on fire. The inhabitants managed to chase the settlers out of the village. Soldiers who arrived on the spot protected the settlers, firing teargas at the Palestinians. In their escape, the settlers set fire to olive trees belonging to Palestinians. None of the assailants was detained.

On Tuesday August 4, 2015, government agents escorted by police demolished two homes and three farming facilities belonging to the Bedouin Al Atrash family in Wadi Atir, east of Umm al Khiran. They proceeded to confiscated the water tanker as well. On the next day, they demolished Al Arakib yet again.

Palestine-Israel, The activists participating in the joint struggle get old... but the struggle is still young and vigorous*

It is hard for many activists when the real meaning of the struggle not a concrete achievable gains, but a global world wide struggle. This week, the concrete and the global merged when the struggle against the destruction of the Susia village recruited international support and forced Israel to delay or even cancel the demolition of the village. The pressure from the imperial powers on Israel was joined by European warning about approaching sanctions on the Israeli banking system for its involvement in the settlers projects in the occupied west bank. It seems the eroding in the Israeli immunity from paying for its war crimes is collecting momentum. The Israeli media is full of news about the B.D.S. - the joint struggle in which thousands of international activists participate contribute to a lot. The heroic Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Nebi Saleh, Qaddum, Ma'asara, and Sheik Jarrah keep the weekly flame from extinguishing.

Bil'in

Friday10-7-15 demo. 5 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall and about dozen internationals joined the Bil'iners. As usual, just when the demo exited from the village and entered the olive trees region the Israeli armed forces started to shower us with tear gas. Due to the northern wind most of us remained around. After a while we started again to march and got a more violent shower with many small tear gas canisters which hit many of us but non was injured. We retreated farther in the direction of the village where we persisted till the army cars left the region and we could declare another small victory.

Friday17-7-15 demo. 10 Israelis with the Anarchists Against the Wall and about 20 internationals joined the village activists. Before we even started the demo the Israeli forces shoot first warning tear gas canisters. Short while after we started chanting and marching down the road the first barrage of tear gas was started. Due to a temporary northern wind we manage to retreat a bit safely. After a long while a second march started with the more bold participants who got a second shower of tear gas before retreating. The more persistent ones remained till the state forces went a way to declare our victory.

2Friday 24-7-15 was a "good Friday" (:
We were 7 Israelis with the Anarchist Against the Wall initiative. We joined about 15 international and the Bil'iners activists in a hot summer day for the short march from the village towards the old route of the separation fence - were the Israeli state force locate themselves the last months.
After weeks in which the wind blew mainly from the west and carried the tear gas towards us, we had a nice surprise. There was a strong northern wind all along the demo. The Israeli state forces failed to cop with it and only forced us to walk among the olive trees to the north. After the usual 30 minutes the forces went away without dispersing us even once.
A sweet victory

Nabi Saleh 24/07/2015 Villagers and solidarity activists - including Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative, marched against the occupation in Nabi Saleh, heading for the hilly edge of the village overlooking the settlement of Halamish. The IDF, however, was already waiting for demonstrators with at least two snipers who immediately fired live ammunition. Without using any other crowd control measures, such as stun grenades, the snipers fired tutu (0.22mm) live bullets at the demonstrators, injuring two, a man in his 20s, and a 17 year old boy. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. This comes at the heels of several fatal shootings: a high ranking officer, commander of the area’s forces, executed a boy for stone throwing at his car, only to be given the full protection and support from the army; earlier this week, a teen was shot dead by the army in the Jenin area, and a man of 52 was shot and killed by soldiers in his own home near Hebron; a few hours later, two brothers were shot and severely injured during a military raid in their Nablus home. This escalation also proves that the military and legal apparatus provide soldiers with protection thus lending legitimacy after the fact to shooting civilians without accountability.

On Tuesday, 7th July, 2015, Suleiman El Ka’abneh, from the Palestinian village Ein El Hilwe (near the settlement Maskiot, in the Jordan Valley, West Bank) drove to bring water to his family’s flock of sheep. On 1st of January 1994 in Chiapas the masses held high the flag of rebellion just after the world capitalist celebrated their triumph on the revolutions of the 20th century and promoted their neo-liberal globalization of the world. But the struggle continued in entirely new mode. The amazing development in Rojava in which the main imperial powers find themselves giving aerial support to the anti authoritarian anti capitalists Kurds of Syria is like a flock of sparrows that mark that the spring is already hear. As part of the imminent change is the panic of the Israeli Zionist ruling elite from the faster advance of the B.D.S.... We cannot measure the contribution of each act of struggle to the change, but it seems that the many thousands of international activists who participated with us in the non armed joint struggle against the separation fence, the settlers, and occupation have a significant share.

Friday 26-6-15 in Bil'in. A dozen Israelis joined the villagers in the weekly demonstration against against the occupation and the separation wall and in solidarity with Imad of Jaffa brain damaged in Bil'in demo years ago.
We barely exited from the village when the Israeli state force started to shower us with tear gas.
In spite the western wind and shower of tear gas canisters we persisted nearly an hour till the armed forces went away.

On April 23 2010, Emad Rizka from Jaffa participated in a demonstration in Bil'in commemorating the Shahid Bassem Abu Rahme (Phill), that was shot to death by an Israeli soldiers a year before. Ironically Emad was shot exactly the same way that Bassem was shot - with a metal gas canister, shot directly at him against open fire regulations of the army. He was severely wounded in the head and suffers until this day from brain damage. Two weeks ago, five years after the incident, the Israeli Military Advocate General decided to close the case and not to prosecute the shooting soldier. In the demonstration today, the people of Bil'in demanded justice for Emad and the indictment of the criminal soldier.

3-7-2015 the 537th Friday demo in Bil'in against the occupation and the settlers and in the memory of Mohammed Abu Khdair burned to death a year ago by settler. 15 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative and few international supporters joined the Bil'iners. The wind was a bit better this week and most of us succeeded to to resist the tear gas shower by dispersing among the olive trees long enough to see the Israeli soldiers going away - failing to stop the demonstration.

Nabi Saleh

Friday weekly demonstration 19.6.2015 On the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, residents of Nabi Saleh staged a demonstration in solidarity with the hunger striking political prisoner, Khader Adnan. Adnan, who already went through a long hunger strike back in 2012 before he was released, launched another hunger strike several weeks ago in protest of the repeated renewal of his administrative detention. Since then, his medical condition has reportedly deteriorated, and he was taken to an Israeli hospital, where he is kept cuffed to his bed. Protesters held banners with Adnan's image and marched with the Palestinian flag. The Israeli soldiers attempted to disperse them by firing rounds of tear gas. No major injuries reported.

Don’t say we didn’t know #454

On Thursday, 11th June, 2015, the IDF ordered Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley to evacuate, together with their livestock, due to army maneuvers. The communities live in El Malih, El Burj, El Minka and Khumsa. They moved out of their homes and localities for six hours (06:00-12:00). The army said that on 17th June, 2015 they would again have to evacuate for similar reasons – military exercises in the region.

On Wednesday, 10th June, 2015, government representatives again demolished El’Araqib. Similarly, in ’Abde (near the ruins of Ovdat) and in Fur’a (near Arad), Bedouin homeowners demolished their own homes, fearing that the authorities would demolish those homes and make them pay the expenses!

Don’t say we didn’t know #455
On Saturday, 13th June, 2015, Palestinians from Susya, in the South Hebron Hills, discovered that settlers had damaged ten of their olive trees. The olive grove is near the settlement Susya (the Palestinian village and Israeli settlement share the same name) and an IDF guard-post.

Palestine-Israel, The B.D.S. collect momentum and the fear of its future development frighten the Israeli elite*

The damage to the Israeli economy seems to be yet only marginal... but the margin expand now faster. Some of the firm already yield to the pressure targeted at areas in the settlements of the 1967 occupation and regroup back to the Israeli areas of 1948, in spite of the loss in government bribes and cheaper work force. The Israeli media is full with warning and even beginning of fear mongering. The connection between the joint struggle in the demos and the B.D.S. and the development of the boycott is acknowledged. Mean time the efforts to transfer of the Palestinians from key areas - the Bedouins in the south of the 1948 areas and in area C of the 1967 occupation intensify, as if they know that the opportunities to do it will end soon. Mean time, the non armed Friday demos are suppressed inconsistently with special treatment to Qadum.

Bil'in

5-6-15 Friday demo. 14 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall and about 20 internationals joined the activists of the village. As usual lately, the state forces waited for us near the route of the dismantled separation fence to prevent us from reaching the further separation wall. Just as we reached the valley, the soldiers of the state force started to shower us with tear gas. Few of the shabab went to the left (north) to confront the second unit. Due to the mostly western wind we had to regroup back few times and returning again.
After about 30 minutes the soldiers went away and we declared our victory before returning to the village.

Bil'in today - Friday 12-6-15, another weekly Demo against the occupation and the separation wall. 13 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative, joined many internationals and Bil'iners. Just when we were in the road leading from the village to the west, the Israeli thugs started to shower us with tear gas. Due to the northern wind we just retreated a bit and repeatedly advanced and retreated. After a long while we ended the demo and retreated to the village.

Don't Say We Did Not Know 452

Palestinians living in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron suffer repeated assaults by the Jewish settlers and IDF soldiers. For example, on May 16, 2015, young settlers threw stones at the home of the Abu Aisha family located next to the Jewish settlement at Tel Rumeida. On May 23, 2015, teen-age settlers assaulted a delegation of Quakers exiting after visiting the home of Palestinian family Azzeh. Soldiers entered the house after the visit and conducted a search. First they accused on of the family's female member of throwing stones. Then settlers began to hurl stones at the house. The girl was hurt. The soldiers went out towards the settlers and did not return.

Beit Elbarakah

Of yesterday (6 June 2015) protest in front of Beit Elbarakah endangered compound organized by South West Bank Popular Committees. 10's of Palestinian and Israeli peace activists marched peacefully towards the complex at road 60. Activists raised Palestinian flags, chanted for freedom and Palestine. The moment we arrived to the complex, 10s of heavily armed Zionist occupation forces attacked us trying to disperse us, but continued trying to enter the endangered complex. The complex is a property of the Christian Endowment, it was built in the 1940s as a hospital to serve the Palestinian community in that area, then was closed late 1960s because of financial problems, since then it was used for different social and religious activities. Lately terrorist Zionist occupation colonists are trying to take over the complex at gunpoint in favor of colonial expansion. .
-------- -------- --------
On Thursday, May 28, 2015, government agents escorted by police demolished homes in Bedouin villages in the Negev: a residence was demolished in Kuchla, north of Kseife and in Kufr Sar near Dimona. At Umm Batin, near Omer, a structure was destroyed.

Don’t say we didn’t know #453

On Thursday, 4th June 2015, IDF soldiers demolished tent living quarters and sheep-pens belonging to four Palestinian families in Humsa, in the Jordan Valley in the West Bank (near Hamra checkpoint).

This time the fact is plain for everyone to see: the Israeli government intends to demolish the village of Umm al Kheiran and in its stead build the (Jewish) community of Hiran. People are to be removed from their homes for the sole “crime” of having been born Bedouins in the State of the Jews, to make way for settling people whose sole advantage is to have been born Jews. What could be more racist?!

Less obvious is the intention to uproot the neighboring village of Atir in order to plant a forest. Again, humans will be removed for being Bedouins in the Jewish State, not even for the sake of settling Jews there, but merely to plant a forest! This is a familiar practice. Tuwail Abu Jarwal was wiped out, after 50 demolitions and residents’ arrests, and now the JNF has planted a forest in its stead. Al Arakib has been demolished over 80 times, with the same intent of planting a forest there.
