Palestine-Israel, The joint non armed struggle lost its excitement of novelty but it earned its replacement in the Tsumud (persistence)*

No one could predict that the joint camp in Masha 12 years ago of Israeli and Palestinian activists will ignite a wide movement of a joint non armed struggle which the Israeli occupying system will fail to extinguish. The thousands of activities and the tens of thousands of participates were not expected. Many small victories and the international B.D.S. warm the hearts of the not too many who persist in the joint struggle in spite of the mourning of those killed, empathy with the injured and solidarity with those arrested. The strong bond of partnership between the Palestinian activists and the Israeli Anarchists Against the Wall initiative was surprising. Disappointing but not surprising is the way the people of the Israeli anarchist scene refrained from adopting the initiative as the main recruiting mission. Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Ma'asara, Nebi Saleh, and Qaddum are still holding high the banner.

Bil'in

31-7-15 Today the demonstration was in solidarity with the baby burnt alive by settlers. This Palestinian baby has a name , his name is Ali Darabsha from Doma near #Nablus .
Another week in the long voyage for a better future in Bil'in. On the last day of the July month. 7 Israelis with the dwindling Anarchists Against the Wall initiative joined about dozen and a half internationals and the Bil'iners activists that refuse to stop struggling for a better future to the weekly demonstration. As usual lately, the Israeli state forces were waiting for us at the route of the route of the route of the old (dismantled) separation fence - just near the memorial of Bassem (Fil). When neared the range of the tear gas canisters the soldiers try to flood us with tear gas. Because of the changing directions of the wind we only needed to retreat a bit. After the usual lately 30 minutes, the state force went away with out trying to disperse us, and some of the demonstrators celebrated the small victory by going up the hill to the memorial for Bassem at the old route of the dismantled separation fence.

Bil'in Friday 7-8-15 8 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative, joined about 20 international activists and the village activists in the weekly demo. The friendly wind prevented the state force from disperse us - only forced most of us to retreat a bit before advancing again. After the third wave most of us returned to the village. The frequent showers of tear gas remained us we are really in a war and not just in a strange ritual.
Do not burn us- leave us to live in peace, let us have a future.
Palestinian children protesting today in the West Bank village of Bil'in wear a bib in solidarity with 18 month old Ali Saad Dawabsha, who was burned to death last week when an Israeli settler terrorist lit his house on fire with a firebomb while his entire family was sleeping inside. The bibs read "Good morning my mother", symbolically representing how Ali never got to and will never get to speak those words to his mother. The bibs also bear a yellow star, similar to the star that Hitler used to make the Jews wear to identify them and burn them. The kids also hold signs that read "Leave us to live a future" and "Leave us to live in peace."

Bil'in Friday 14-8-15 7 Israelis with the anarchists against the wall initiative joined international and village activists. While marching down the hill and chanting, the Israeli state forces started to shower us with tear gas. A military drone was flying high above to monitor the demo. The more experienced of us evaded the tear gas by moving to the north. When the soldiers on the north side went away I returned to the place the demo started from - waiting with others for the rest of the soldiers to go away... Only there I become aware I had not even smelled a bit of tear gas today.

Don't Say We Did Not Know #460

On July 18, 2015, Palestinians of the village Turmus ‘Aya discovered that 150 of their olive saplings had been either uprooted or destroyed by settlers. Their land is situated near a settlers' outpost called Adei Ad. This is the third time this year that settlers uproot or damage olive saplings belonging to the people of Turmus ‘Aya.

Government agents escorted by police arrived on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, and demolished Bedouin homes in the Negev. They destroyed a home in Hura and another home in Hashm Zane (near Nevatim).

Don't Say We Didn't Know 461

A Palestinian chose to behave like a human being in spite of circumstances:
Nasser Jaber, of Hebron, crossed the neighborhood checkpoint (Jaber and Jabbari) on his way home on Wednesday, July 29 2015. After getting back his ID and permission to pass, he said "Have a good day" to the soldier. The soldier replied angrily that he was "not a friend of his", beat Nasser in the head and arrested him. Two hours later Nasser was taken to Hadassah En Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. After being treated there, he was returned to custody in Hebron. After release from custody, he was hospitalized in Hebron.

Don't Say We Didn't Know 462

The Prime Minister and his ministers condemned the murder of Palestinian baby Ali Dawabshe. That could have given hope for a different spirit on the part of the government and the Israeli army. Sadly, nothing on the ground has changed.
On Saturday August 1, 2015, settlers assaulted Palestinian farmers of Qusra village (west of Duma) who were tilling their land, situated in Area B. After the locals managed to calms things down, a policeman arrived and, at the settlers' behest, tried to arrest Palestinians. This revived the confrontation. The policeman ran off. In the clash that followed, Palestinians protected a policewoman present on the spot. The soldiers and policemen there did not detain any of the assailants.
That same day, settlers attacked the Palestinian village of Mughayer (south of Duma) and tried to set a home on fire. The inhabitants managed to chase the settlers out of the village. Soldiers who arrived on the spot protected the settlers, firing teargas at the Palestinians. In their escape, the settlers set fire to olive trees belonging to Palestinians. None of the assailants was detained.
