Palestine-Israel, The joint struggle sweeten a bit the biter memories*.

It is already 65 years since the official Nacba day and the old memories of sorrow were joined with newer ones. However, the defeat was not complete. The Tsumud - the persistent stand fast still frustrate the effort of the Zionist settler colonialists from completing the "cleansing" of Palestine from the Palestinians. The joint non armed struggle which entered the world public media is on the verge of blocking the continuation of the cleansing project and even rolling it back. Thanks to all the brothers and sisters who participate in the joint struggle and the other popular struggles that gradually develop who keep my soul young in spite of the long way traveled. Special thanks to the people of Bil'in, Ni'ilin, Beit Ummar, Ma'asara, Naby Saleh, and Qaddum who keep the Eternal Flame of struggle and hope.

Nabi Saleh

Activists on the ground in Nabi Saleh are reporting that the IOF are firing huge volleys of rubber coated steel bullets at unarmed from less than 10 meters away. One international has been injured with THREE rubber coated steel bullets in leg and thigh.
The weekly Friday demonstration in the village of Nabi Saleh against the occupation and land theft began at the village's Shuhadaa square, where protesters chanted 'here we stay' against repeated attempts to displace and dispossess Palestinians. However, as the procession moved along the main street and towards the road, the IOF suddenly advanced and attacked marchers without any provocation, shooting barrages of rubber-coated steel bullets. As a result of this brutal assault, three were injured, one of them an international solidarity activist who was hit three times. She was taken to hospital in Ramallah for treatment. Dozens also suffocated from tear gas fired at the demonstrators by the invading soldiers.

Silwad Protest, 12-4-2013

Fierce resistance was sparked yesterday by the vicious beating of a 60-year-old former judge Ahmad al-Zir after so called "settlers" attacked him the previous day with an iron bar which fractured his skull and left him unconscience as he was tending his land between Ofra colony and the Palestinian village of Silwad.

"They were hitting him again and again on the head, cursing him and telling him to shut up," said Mahmoud Hussein, a relative and an eyewitness of the alleged attack.

Village youths tracked down the Israelis to their encampment and burned down one of their improvised homes. Israeli forces were sent to the scene late Thursday to disperse the angered Palestinians. They fired at the protesters, wounding two with live bullets, including one in the chest, medics said.
