Palestine-Israel The joint struggle contribute to the mounting international pressure on Israel*
The change in the political climate in the region combined with the diminishing importance of the middle east oil resources, and the awareness of the world public opinion about the struggle against occupation of the 1967 war, start to have fruits. The first results of the boycott movement worry the Israeli elite. The news in the world media about the joint struggle and the many thousands of international activists which participate in it contribute a significant share. The organized grass root popular comities contribute it share to the political arena of the Palestinian west bank. In spite Israeli state forces harassment the weekly confrontations of Palestinian grass root popular comities and activists with Israeli activists with the anarchists against the wall, international supporters and Palestinian activists from the region, continue.
Bil'in
Bil'in habinti again. A nice and warm Friday demonstration. It seems the nasty commander of the previous weeks was absent. The wind was very friendly. In spite of some sporadic showers of tear gas canisters and grenades we managed to reach the fence "protecting" the gate in the separation wall. We were 15 Israelis (mostly anarchist) with 5 bearers of the redNblack and black flags. There was a big group of guests - mainly Italians, and few dozens Bil'iners. The demo marked three years of the murder of Jawaher. Jawaher Abu Rahmah who dies of asphyxiation caused by tear gas inhalation in 1/1/2011 was the sister of Bassem abu rahma who was killed in 17/4/2009 and both of them killed in the non violent demonstrations in Bilin village against the Israeli apartheid wall.
After more than an hour, the adults started to return to the village while the shabab youngsters continued their confrontation with the Israeli state forces.
Israeli forces fired rubber coated bullets, tear gas canisters, sound bombs and live ammunition which resulted in the injury of a Palestinian Abdel Rahman Betillo (16 years) with live ammunition (Twotwo bullets) in his leg. Another journalist from Palestine TV Najeeb Sharawneh suffocated from tear gas and was later taken to a
hospital in Ramallah.

Al M'asara
Friday weekly protest 3.01.2014: Israeli Forces tried to suppress the weekly nonviolent march of Al Masara village. Today’s demonstration commemorated 49 years since the start of the Palestinian National Liberation Movement Fateh, also to condemn the detention of children in the West Bank and in solidarity with the Palestinian people of the refugee camp of Yarmouk in Syria.

Qaddum
Israeli Forces heavily repressed today the weekly demonstration of Kufr Qaddoum against the Wall and Settlements. The march counted with the presence of numerous local activists, international peace activists and few Israelis of the anarchists against the wall initiative. The demo high lighted the death of Said Jasir, an 85-year-old man from the village that died two days ago after the Israeli army shot tear gas into his house during a protest in the village. After inhaling tear gas, Jasir was evacuated to the hospital in Nablus, were he died a few hours later.
Violent clashes broke out today between dozens of youths and the Israeli soldiers during the march. A disproportionate amount of tear gas canisters and sound bombs were thrown at the demonstrators causing a lot of injuries due to tear gas inhalation. Aqel Mahmoud Ishtawi aged 24, was arrested by Israeli Forces.

Southern Hebron Hills
Yesterday in the weird south. A dozen of us were detained, our vehicles were all stopped in arbitrary "flying checkpoints", the license of the transit driver was checked three times, but, we should add, we did successfully repair a water cistern with our friend Abu Sabha and his boys above the Tawamin valley. In our presence and with three trucks, the Mur family plowed the entire Tawamin valley earlier this week - three years ago they would be shooed from the place with teargas and arrests.

Don’t say we didn’t know #393
In 2003, the IDF blocked the main entrance to the Palestinian village Qaddum. Since then, the army has limited the residents’ access to their land (some 11 square kilometers or 11,000 dunams) near that main entrance road, to only once or twice a year. In 2011, the residents started weekly demonstrations, calling for the roadblock to be removed. In response, the IDF started attacking the village. Those attacks include nightly incursions and arrests (about 100 people have been arrested so far). Often, during those incursions, IDF soldiers throw tear gas and stun grenades into residents’ homes.

On 8th December, 2013 a two month old baby was injured by a tear gas grenade thrown into his home. He was taken to hospital where they saved his life.
On Friday, 20th December, 2013 IDF soldiers carried out a night raid and arrested two people, who were released after a while. The soldiers raided the home of the head of the popular committee, Murad Ashtawi, and interrogated him aggressively. A few hours later, soldiers returned to the village and arrested him. After he had been caught, he was sprayed with pepper spray and taken into custody in Huwwara. By Sunday morning he had still not been interrogated.

Don’t say we didn’t know #394
The Israeli government is continuing its war against its Bedouin citizens.
Four weeks after the demonstration in Hura of rage against the Prawer Plan, nine people remain detained. Arrests have also continued long after the demonstration; on Tuesday, 24th December, 2013 the police arrested a further 23 people, one of whom remains still in custody.
On Thursday, 26th December, 2013, government representatives accompanied by the police arrived for yet another demolition day in the Negev. They demolished a plant nursery in the Rahat industrial zone, a home in Khirbet El-Watan (near a-Sayyed) and yet again, the village of El-Araqib.
